Chinatown's Digital Archive

The staff of the San Francisco Public Library, Chinatown branch is pleased to unveil our new digital archive! The Chinatown Branch has long housed an extensive file on the history of the Chinatown Branch Library and the neighborhood which it calls home: the historied Chinatown District. Until now, most of that has been stored in file cabinets and only accessible by visits to the physical branch.

Now certain folders and collections are available for online viewing via the photo-hosting website Flickr for everyone around the world. You can browse the Angel Island Collection or peer into the Crimes in Chinatown folder. There's really a lot to see! We are constantly scanning and uploading files into our digital collection, so please check back to see what's new.
