11月24日(星期三), 11月25日(星期四) 及11月26日(星期五) 為 "感恩節假日" 全部舊金山市立圖書館休息三天。 圖書館在11月27日(星期六)恢復正常開放時間。

請留意圖書館實施特別的感恩節寬限期。所有外借圖書資料不用在11月24, 25 及26日圖書館休假期間歸還。

Thanksgiving Library Closures

Please note that the Chinatown Branch and all other San Francisco Public Libraries will be closed Wednesday, November 24, Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26 for Thanksgiving. We will resume our regular opening hours on Saturday November 27.

A special Thanksgiving holiday grace period is in effect and checked out library materials will not be due on November 24, 25 & 26 when the library is closed.

作家Angie Chau 蒞臨華埠圖書館, 討論她的短篇小說集《安靜, 他們來了》(Quiet As They Come)。該短篇小說集記述一家剛來到加州的越南船民的生活 故事背景發生在20世紀80年代到今天的舊金山。這本書美麗又殘酷地刻畫了夾在兩種文化之間的生活


"Quiet As They Come" - A Book Talk by Author Angie Chau, Saturday, November 13, 2:30pm

Join us for a book talk with author Angie Chau. She will talk about and read from her short story collection Quiet As They Come which chronicles the lives of an extended Vietnamese boat family newly arrived in California. Set in San Francisco from the 1980s to the present day, it is a beautiful and at time brutal portrait of a people caught between two cultures.

This program will be in English only. Book signing follows the program.
