Immigration Workshop & Legal Clinic, Saturday, February 5, 2:30-4pm
The San Francisco Immigrant Legal & Education Network (SFILEN) will present a workshop on immigration rights and how to prevent immigration fraud. A lawyer will be available for individual consultation. The presentation will be in Cantonese.
Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) Outstation at Chinatown Branch
ADRC has a new outstation at Chinatown Branch in the heart of Chinatown, offering free information and assistance services for seniors and people with disabilities in English and Chinese.
ADRC will be in the downstairs lobby of Chinatown Branch on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1:30-4:30pm.
Services provided include:
ADRC is funded by the San Francisco Department of Aging and Adult Services. ADRC is a program of the Canon Kip Senior Center of the Episcopal Community.

- Benefits, housing resources, Medicare Savings Program, ExtraHelp

Chinatown Branch will close early at 5pm on Wednesday, February 2, in observance of Chinese New Year. All other branches will keep their regular opening hours. 作家John Jung會討論他的新書《甜酸人生》 - 一本探討華人家庭餐館的社會歷史書。灣區詩人Nellie Wong會表演詩朗誦。這些詩描述她在屋崙家庭餐館長大的經歷。講座以英語進行。會後將有新書簽售活動。
Sweet and Sour: Life in Chinese Family Restaurants - Author event on Saturday, January 22, 2:30-4pm
Join us when author John Jung discusses his book Sweet and Sour - a social history of Chinese family restaurants. Bay Area poet Nellie Wong will perform some of her poems based on her experiences growing up in an Oakland Chinese family restaurant.This program will be in English only. Book signing follows the program.
This program is part of a series of programs related to the San Francisco Eats exhibit. Another program in this series will be an author event with Jennifer 8. Lee who will talk about her book The Fortune Cookie Chronicles on February 19.
