圖書館重建17周年慶典


歡迎來慶祝華埠圖書館重建17周年, 與工作人員一起享用茶點!

欣賞金山廣東音樂團的精彩表演!

屆時還有相片、電子剪貼簿及短片,介紹華埠圖書館自1996年擴建重開至今的歷史.  簡單茶點招待.

It's the 17th anniversary of the Library's grand reopening!  Come celebrate and enjoy tea with the library staff!

Enjoy an afternoon of delightful music with Gold Mountain Music Ensemble!

There'll also be photo displays, a digital memory book, and video documenting the branch’s long history. Light refreshments will be served.

Guqin: Ancient Chinese Music, Saturday, May 7, 2:30-4pm

In celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month

We welcome music professor Ms. Yiming Li, from the Guqin Society International, for a talk and performance of guqin music.

The guqin is China's oldest stringed musical instrument with a history of more than 3000 years. In 2003, guqin music was proclaimed as one of the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

The program will be in English and Chinese.

  • Chinese brush painting for kids on Wednesday, May 11, 3:30-5pm (please call for reservation)
  • My Mom is a FOB author reading with Serena Wu on Saturday, May 14, 2:30-4pm
  • Asian Art Museum docent talk on Chinese jade on Saturday, May 28, 2:30-4pm
