Chinatown Open House Celebration on Tuesday, June 14, 2:30-4pm and Saturday, June 18, 2-4pm

Please join us for our annual Open House Celebration. Chinatown Branch first opened its doors to the public in 1921 and we are celebrating 90 years of service to the community this year.

Come and have tea with the staff on Tuesday, June 14, 2:30-4pm!

Join us for a dance performance by the Flying Angels Chinese Dance Group on Saturday, June 18, 2-4pm! Light refreshments will be served.

Chinese Lion Dancers on Saturday, January 29, 11:30pm

Help Chinatown Branch bring in good luck for the Year of the Rabbit by joining us for our annual Lion Dance and Chinese martial arts performance by the San Francisco Jing Mo Athletic Association led by Rick Wing!

New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV) presents a program to introduce culture, arts, and performing arts at the Chinatown Branch on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009, 3-3:45pm.

The 45-minute program will be conducted in English and features:
  • A live dance performance by junior dancers
  • A discussion of culture and arts
  • An introduction to performing arts in both the West and China
  • An introduction to ShenYun Performing Arts group
